Dr. Zbar joined Fund I in 2004 and currently serves as a Partner. Previously, Dr. Zbar was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company and a senior member of the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products practice, where he worked closely with management of large pharmaceutical companies and specialty pharmaceutical companies based in the U.S. , Europe and Japan. Prior to joining McKinsey, Dr. Zbar trained on the Osler internal medicine service at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Zbar serves as a director of Minrad International, Inc. and Planet Technologies, Inc.

Dr. Zbar received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. He received his B.A. from Yale, awarded magna cum laude with Distinction in English and Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. He is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
